This steeply sloping site has an exceptional view, including Mt Rainier, Cascades and Lake Washington. The home was designed with a bridge to enter from the street directly to the upper level where the living/dining/kitchen are set under a roof pavilion floating above clerestory windows on four columns. This simple structure opened up the room to let in light, maximize the view, and create an urbane loft like aerie.
