Designed on a limited budget to replace a deteriorating manufactured home. It responds to the site with a low impact approach that reduces impervious area and stormwater runoff while relocating the home to a safer location away from a steep slope and positioning it for optimum solar orientation. By minimizing the home's footprint it created a compact energy efficient home and reduces the materials needed to build. The required materials are used in modular sizes to minimize waste and create a cost effective solution allowing more to be spent on things that matter like a porch.
